The business already had a monochrome brand which was taken as a basis for the design of the site. It was thought that with bold, black/white straight lines, that the colour of the site would come from the products themselves. The homepage features an array of images – both promotional and visually appealing – flanked by informative text. It was acknowledged that this was an unorthodox design for a homepage but reflected the ethos of Drum Depot to the letter – why be like everyone else! Staff at Drum Depot were trained in how to use the “back end” of the site so that they may take total control of their website.
